Rowan, PhD
Dr. Rowan earned his BA in psychology in 1993 from Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa, and his PhD in clinical psychology in 2003 from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, Illinois. He has worked at the University of Chicago's Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Milwaukee County Mental Health Division. In 2002 Dr. Rowan joined St. Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute and has been a staff psychologist. In 2007 he became Director of the Program for Psychology and Religion at Saint Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute. Dr. Rowan has been a guest lecturer at St. Louis University and St. Louis University School of Medicine in the Department of Community Medicine. He is a licensed psychologist in Missouri, a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), and Division 50 (Addictions) of the APA. Dr. Rowan's professional interests are in the areas of addiction treatment, healthy psychology/weight management, couple therapy, and the integration of faith and spirituality with psychological treatments.
